Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

WOYWW + Tattered Lace Charisma Poppy Die CD Set

hi there one and all,
Firstly to my desk, as it is WOYWW or What is on your Workdesk Wednesday (pop over to Julia's and please join in, do!).
This is my desk this morning as left last night (except for the magazine which  added because was going to share about it). In middle you can see dies and pricking tool on top of a possible DT stamped image hence hiding it. The ink duster brushes and ink pads were used on it. Finetec Metallic paints were used on tomorrow's DT piece. The (*new to me) magazine was part of my Christmas present (to myself :D) It is my first Tattered Lace Die, with a CD set for Charisma Poppy, you also get free papers which are really lovely. Found an eBay UK seller who sold them in Canadian $ for more than $10 cheaper than you can get them here.

These dies cut very well with room to breathe around the die cuts. I found it hard to find much on how to assemble these flowers, once you die cut them. So I just guessed to be honest. I used silicone glue and layered two layers. First added the base die cut to a white base hand cut smaller then the poppy to give it extra support as there are numerous cuts in the piece. Then added a second layer with some of outside of image cut away and the centre shaped up (although you can't really see it on my card it is there in real life).
There are two sets of each colour of digi papers and the poppy images and about eight colour variations.

So here is my card made up. I used Spellbinder Royal circles (*new) that I bought from Bec, and Our Daily Bread Beautiful Borders die set.
The papers are print outs from the CD, except for base card, it has the Regency Swirls Die'Sire Emobssaliscious Embossing folder.
Gold embossed the Bible verse (from Stampendous 1994), a good one for the beginning of the year - Give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good.
Now to our photos from Downunder. This was taken up north of here just after Christmas day. As you can see yours truly was sitting under the beach umbrella! Have two views for you to see.
Here is our pineapple baby. As you can see by the image below it is even more like a bromeliad now, as the post linked says it is the only edible bromeliad! It has still a few more months of growth to come. The humid and showery weather we are having will help it immensely.
May God bless each of you this day in all that you do - and thanks for popping over and saying hi - you bless my heart,
Shaz in Oz.x

Awesome desk...haven't heard of that magazine or those dies before! I think I am going to have to investigate them more. I love your beautiful cards! I planted a couple pineapple tops and so far they are still growing. I doubt we will get a pineapple off of it but...hey it is fun watching it grow. Hope you are having a Happy New Year! Vickie #12

Hello My Dear Friend.
My you have been busy making cards with those new dies. So glad you enjoyed the Tattered Lace things as they are a UK based company, in fact she used to be a presenter on tv over here - perhaps when you were over with us all that time ago.
Love the thought of you sitting under an umbrella enjoying the glorious sunshine on the day of the Lord's birth. What a wonderful way to spend it.
God Bless, Neet 5 - Happy New Year and thanks for the visit earlier xx

The view from the Umbrella...almost empty beach, sunshine, blue sea..absolutely lovely. I so look forward to these pics! I'm not a great user of tattered lace dies, I didn't realise the dies were for images on the CD for example..lucky I never jumped into buying the mag for the dies alone, which is what I usually do! If there's one thing I never get round to, it's using CD art!Your desk is looking fe to e - lovely light again. Can't help but notice it, it's so appealing!

Happy New Year, Shaz. May it be a very special year with Jesus! That magazine is the same one Mrs D gave me for my Christmas present!! Well, I never! I have yet to try it out, but I do have some other Tattered lace dies, and they certainly all cut really well. Your card is lovely.
Take care, dear girl. God bless.

Do you wrap presents to yourself and put them under the tree? My hubby does, and then looks so excited when he opens them! He's a funny guy! Your desk looks like it can't wait for all the fun awaiting it with all your new toys! As usual, I love seeing your vista from Oz, so much nicer than our vista, dreary rain! Your baby pineapple is very cute, can't wait to see him full grown!@ How lucky are you! Happy New Year! Lindart #37

Happy New Year Sharon! Now let me see if I have this straight. You print your flower and then use the dies to cut them out???? I love how beautiful these flowers are and I adore the texture the dies give them. Just beautiful is your card!! Really love those poppy flowers! Oh my, to be able to sit on the beach at Christmas-how wonderful that must feel! I'm so over winter already and it hasn't been super cold yet. lol But that changes as of tonight for us. Just took Miss Savannah out and baby it is cold out there as well as super windy! Going to be a long cold rest of the week and weekend. I am dreaming of your beach my friend! Your little baby pineapple looks so cute! I bet it is going to be a good one too. Hugs, Brenda

Such a wonderful card. Very elegant. Thank you for linking with us at Word Art Wednesday. Our current challenge is still ongoing and we would love to have you participate again. I would like to share this passage from the Bible coming from Hebrews 6:11-12 which says, "We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised." Have a blessed week.
